We have reached the end of the 2025-2026 regular season in high school basketball across the Sunshine State. I was able to get out and see some intriguing games this season, as well as watch film on players outside of my coverage area.
Today, we will focus on our junior class, as many players on this list are poised to have breakout spring and summer seasons on the Grassroots Circuit.

Giuliani Blaise - Chaminade-Madonna
Blaise plays bigger than his size indicates, as he can dominate in the paint with his energy and explosive athleticism on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, he can play inside as well as outside, where he can finish at the front of the rim, as well as being able to space the floor, knocking down shots with confidence out on the perimeter. On the defensive end, he is a high-level rebounder who limits the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.
Anthony Brown - Boca Ciega
Brown does a great job when it comes to playing with pace, utilizing his athleticism and length to his advantage in the open court. He is unafraid when it comes to finishing at the front of the rim on the attack. In a half-court offense, Brown can demonstrate and facilitate with his teammates,
keeping constant pressure on opposing defenses. On the defensive end, he does a great job of applying havoc in the passing lanes, and he can force turnovers that quickly can turn into offense. His overall skillset, including his size, athleticism, and high motor, should allow Brown to make a ton of noise this summer on the recruitment trail.
Ayden “Skoot” Donald - Tampa Catholic
Donald is a dangerous scorer with a quick release in the open court on the offensive end. His slick ball-handling skills, as well as the ability to operate the offense this season, took a step to a new level. He is efficient when it comes to attacking downhill with his elite speed and unafraid when it comes to finishing at the rim through contact. On the defensive end, he is active when it comes to jumping the passing lanes, as well as an above-average rebounder for his size. His combination skillset of versatile scoring, initiating offense, and high energy on the defensive end could open doors for Donald in the early stages of his recruitment.
Johnny Lackaff - Sarasota
Lackaff has a high-IQ that plays with a ton of versatility and relentless energy, whether it’s his play on or off the ball. He is a consistent threat on the offensive end, where he can score on all three levels, whether it is off the catch or bounce. He makes smart plays and doesn’t force himself into taking tough shots. Defensively, he has great body-positioning and footwork to stay in front of his opponent and can fight off screens and not get caught reaching. Lackaff has continued to grow as a player, who has a well-rounded skillset that could draw attention from several college coaches this upcoming Grassroots season.
Marlon Martinez - Academy of Central Florida
Martinez is an emerging guard who is rising on a national level and can score on all three levels at will on the offensive end. He has a wingspan that reaches near seven feet, where he has improved as a ball-handler and facilitator. He is an underrated passer when it comes to finding teammates on the move as well as playmaking off the ball. On the defensive end, Martinez can guard positions 1 through 3 with his length and elite footwork. With more confidence in his on-the-ball defending, Martinez could be one of the top two-way guards in the class.
Khanye Moss - Mater Lakes Academy
Moss is an elite guard who can combine his overall skillset with his scoring, playmaking, and activity on the defensive end. He can score off the catch as well as off the bounce at a high level, using his athleticism to create separation from defenders. On the defensive end, he is active, where he can generate steals with his ability to jump the passing lanes as well as when guarding the ball. His combination skillset of elite court vision, speed, strength, and athleticism should set Moss up for a big AAU season.
Bishop Wenze - Olympia
Wenze is an athletic wing who can operate in the paint as well as having the ability to stretch the floor on the offensive end. He has strong hands and elite footwork, where he can play an inside-out game. His efforts on the glass with his wingspan on both ends of the floor can draw immediate impact from college coaches. On the defensive end, his versatility speaks high volumes, where he is active when guarding in the paint as well as having elite footspeed to defend out on the perimeter. His combination skillset of energy and athleticism can open some eyes for Wenze heading into the Grassroots season.
Clarence Westbrook - St. Thomas Aquinas
Westbrook is a tone setter on the offensive end, where he plays with poise and under control in the open court, whether it’s facilitating or making plays happen for himself. He embraces when it comes to running the lead guard position as he can get downhill finishing at the rim or connecting from behind the arc off the bounce. Defensively, he plays with great discipline, whether it’s applying on-the-ball pressure, guarding the passing lanes, and staying engaged on every possession. Westbrook has continued to climb the rankings and could draw national attention this upcoming Grassroots season.
