BUFORD, Ga. — Over the last few years, June has turned into one of the most pivotal months on the recruiting calendar. On The Radar and Southern Hoops Report teamed up to start the month off with a full day of hoops on Saturday.
Several teams from all over Georgia met at Seckinger High School to get competitive reps in ahead of two live period events later in the month.
Here are some of the underclassmen who starred during the day:

Tristan Alusma - North Gwinnett - 2029
Alusma started to make a name for himself in a real way during the high school season when he got serious playing time on an Elite Eight team as a freshman. During that time, Alusma carved out a niche as a 3-point threat and floor spacer. On Saturday, Alusma showed more of that off with North Gwinnett. He knocked down a handful of threes, and they were all as clean as can be. Keep an eye on him as he becomes a more integral part of what the Bulldogs do this coming season.

Jordan Lynch - North Gwinnett - 2030
Alongside Alusma in the Bulldog backcourt, Lynch showed a skillset that paired well with his fellow underclassman. He was a downhill guy who sought the rim. He was able to get there often in their first game. He’s quick with a solid handle and a consistent rim finisher. He looks like a guy who’ll be productive for years to come at North Gwinnett.

Landon Crews - Hebron Christian - 2029
Crews looks like one of the more promising guard prospects in the state’s 2029 class. He’s assertive and decisive at the point guard spot. He looks more like an upper classman at times because he has a savvy way of creating advantages. Crews really excelled at getting easy buckets at the rim. He can play through contact and consistently get paint touches.

Isaiah Box - Hebron Christian - 2028
Box gave Hebron some reliable size around the basket. He has a fundamental game. Box used footwork and physicality to score around the basket. He was active on both ends of the floor which led to ending possessions for opponents or getting his team extra possessions via rebounding. He’s an under-the-radar forward who could start to break out this season.

Ashton Burt - Hebron Christian - 2029
There’s a lot of talent coming up in the Hebron system. Burt is one of the guys who shined on Saturday. He’s an efficient, low-maintenance player. He takes what the game gives him and capitalizes on opportunities. Burt is a versatile forward who can fulfill multiple roles on both ends. He impressed on the OTR Circuit this spring and is carrying that momentum with him in June.

Adam Oche - Lambert - 2030
There aren’t a lot of rising freshmen with the physical tools that Oche has. He’s 6-foot-6 with good length and size on his frame. He’s already built to be able to handle high school physicality in the post. He has a motor to match too. Oche plays hard and provides Lambert with a solid young forward. He’s an intriguing player to remember for the future.

Ebenezer Essien - Walker - 2029
It looks like Walker has its next front court anchor for the next few years. Essien is a promising player at that spot with 6-foot-7 size and long arms. He’s a problem out of the dunker’s spot as a target for his guards to feed. He’ll play above the rim on one end and protect it on the other.
