THE VILLAGES, Fla. — The penultimate event of the summer in the Sunshine State has arrived at The Villages Charter High School. 36 teams have taken the stage. Here are six standout performers from the final day of the event:

Brayner Pagan - Exclusive Hoops - 2029
The 6-foot-9 rising sophomore power forward showed he can impact the game in multiple ways on both ends of the floor. He used his size, strength, length, and high motor to create scoring chances for himself as well as his teammates on the offensive end. Pagan also showed flashes where he can play with confidence in the mid-range, where he was getting comfortable scoring off the catch and dribble. On defense, he guarded multiple positions using his length and athleticism to his advantage. His presence was a factor in the paint, where he altered shots around the rim and limited the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

Nathan Frierson - 2Times Outlaws - 2028
The 6-foot-4 rising junior guard orchestrated the offense with his ability to create paint touches and put pressure on the defense throughout the day. Frierson shows great speed when he has the basketball in his hands and showed he can be effective on all three scoring levels. He finished well above the rim, as well as shooting with confidence in the mid-range and out on the perimeter. Defensively, he applied heavy pressure when it came to using his burst of speed in the passing lanes, forcing turnovers, and snatching timely rebounds. Overall, his two-way playmaking was a huge focal point throughout the weekend, where he could start raising his stock as he heads into his junior season.

Jyhren Coleman - Buffalo Stampeders - 2029
The 5-foot-10 rising sophomore point guard showed his skill set of speed and toughness on both ends of the floor. On offense, he established himself as more of a three-point shooting threat, where he was displaying a ton of confidence both off the catch and dribble. Coleman took advantage of his scoring opportunities when he wasn’t the primary ball handler to get to his spots. On defense, he was applying consistent pressure when it came to guarding on the ball as well as being active in the passing lanes. Overall, his two-way playmaking skills could really open some eyes over the course of the next three seasons.

Dontae Verderber - Florida Suns - 2026
The 6-foot-8 senior power forward is a long and athletic forward who displayed a great feel for the game on the offensive end, where he finished around the rim as well as growing confidence in knocking down mid-range jumpers off the bounce. On defense, he plays with great length by getting into the passing lanes, altering shots at the rim, and limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities.

Ethan Espinal - Florida Suns - 2028
The 6-foot-1 rising junior point guard did a great job when it came to facilitating on the offensive end, where he didn’t need to be a primary scorer in order to make an impact. On defense, he showed his true footwork and speed when guarding on the ball as well as staying active in the passing lanes. Overall, his two-way playmaking was a huge factor in the win over Nassau United.

Elijah Ventura - PSB Tampa Bay Robinson OTR - 2028
The 5-foot-8 rising junior point guard didn’t get rattled or phased when being pressured by opposing guards, as he made the right reads, whether it was his cross-court passing ability or making dump-off passes to his teammates in the paint to finish at the rim. On the defensive end, he used his elite speed and footwork when it came to applying pressure in the passing lanes, as well as guarding on the ball and staying engaged over the course of the game despite the tough loss to SCE 2028 Regional. He finished with 19 points and knocked down three 3-pointers in the afternoon game. Overall, his combination of floor spacing, playmaking, speed, and a high motor continue to be a huge focal point in Ventura’s game.
