We have reached the midway point of the 2025-2026 high school basketball season across the state of Florida. Here are the top prospects trending upwards in this year’s sophomore class.
Jermaine Agyeman - Florida Christian - 2028: Agyeman has held his ground since the start of his freshman season, where he has played against kids older than him. The 6-foot-10 power forward has a smooth inside-out game on the offensive end, where he can bully defenders and finish at the front of the rim, as well as displaying elite footwork, finishing effectively in the mid-range. On the defensive end, he is an elite rebounder as well as shot blocker, where his length and athleticism allow him to alter shots at a high level. His two-way playmaking abilities have risen at an early point in his high school career, where he has already picked up offers from Florida A&M and Florida International University.

Camden Cooper - Nease - 2028: The 6-foot-7 shooting guard has become more comfortable this season since transferring from St. John’s Country Day following his freshman season. His high-level IQ and playmaking abilities have risen to the occasion since he began playing varsity-level basketball as an eighth grader. He is a vocal leader on the defensive end, where his versatility continues to speak high volumes, as well as being a high-level rebounder from the guard position. On offense, he can be effective in the paint, mid-range, and knocking down shots from the perimeter. His upside continues to climb as he’s already receiving interest from several Power 4 schools.
Branden Sharpe - Sagemont - 2028: The 6-foot-5 shooting guard can make an impact in a variety of ways, whether it’s his ability to finish above the rim at the point of attack or his lethal three-point shooting. His ability to get to his spots without the basketball in his hands has made an immediate improvement from his freshman season to this season. His defensive versatility, where he can guard multiple positions with his length and athleticism have separated him from the rest of the guards in the class. Look for Sharpe to make a major climb in the national rankings as he could make a ton of noise over the course of the next two and a half years.
Keylon Williams - Booker T. Washington (Pensacola) - 2028: The 6-foot-2 point guard plays with a huge spark on both ends of the floor, where he is active and aggressive on the defensive end, whether it’s playing in the passing lanes or battling on the glass. On the offensive end, Williams is a vital three-level scorer who doesn’t need the basketball in his hands to make an impact as he moves exceptionally well when playing off the ball. He is smart when it comes to challenging shots above the rim, as his length allows him to stay disciplined and not pick up silly fouls. Look for Williams to have a strong second half of the season as he will be a name to keep an eye on as the spring and summer approach.

James Ratteree - Bartow - 2028: Ratteree is a smart and athletic guard who plays with a combination skillset of speed and high energy. On the defensive end, he can guard for all 94-feet as well as being an above-average rebounder for his size, where he could draw a ton of interest from mid-major college programs. As his game continues to grow, Ratteree will be an emerging two-way player who could draw national attention. He currently holds an offer from Alabama A&M, but he can expect that offer list to grow as he still has two more years of high school basketball remaining.
Ethan Knox - Zephyrhills Christian Academy - 2028: Knox is one of the top two-way guards in the class as he can play multiple positions on the offensive end, as well as on the defensive end. On offense, he has a smooth jump shot and can be effective when finishing around the rim as well as be a vital three-point shooting threat with his quick release. He can also impact the game on the defensive end with his athleticism, whether it’s jumping the passing lanes or getting steals, which can lead to scores on the other end. Knox is already hearing from several Power 4 schools, such as Florida State, Missouri, and Mississippi State, among others. Expect Knox to have a strong second half of the season with Zephyrhills Christian following the departures of Toni Bryant, Alexander Davis, among others.

King McMillan - Hilliard - 2028: The 6-foot-5 guard has made a name for himself this season, where he can score on all three levels as well as be an elite playmaker for his teammates. Since the start of his freshman season, McMillan has taken over as the leader of the team on both offense and defense. He can truly finish above the rim at the point of attack as well as knock down shots from well behind the three-point arc. He looks to lead the Red Flashes to a strong second half of the season and a possible deep postseason run where they are among the favorites to make it to a potential Final Four in their backyard this season.
