OTR Hoops: Uncommitted Seniors in Florida (Part 2)

The second half of the high school basketball season is in full swing across the Sunshine State, and a ton of prospects have yet to decide where they will be committing to play college basketball next season. We take a deep dive into who remains uncommitted as we get down the home stretch of the regular season across the Sunshine State.

Nathan Kirk - DME Academy - 2026:  Kirk plays with a combination skillset, whether it’s his speed, patience, and athleticism on the offensive end. He can knock down shots across all three scoring levels using his timely court awareness when given the proper amount of space. He balances his scoring ability with his facilitation rate, as he has a high assist-to-turnover ratio, where he doesn’t force passes into traffic. On defense, he can jump the passing lanes using his athleticism and quickness to his advantage, as well as pressure the opposition into taking a tough shot. With his two-way playmaking abilities, Kirk could make an immediate impact at the next level.

RJ Ingram - Lake Highland Prep - 2026:  Ingram has played with an improved skillset from his junior season to this season. He plays with toughness, where he finishes above the rim at the point of attack on the offensive end, as well as being able to stop on a dime, being effective in the mid-range, and on the perimeter. His shot- making and shot-creating are what separate him from other guards, as he has displayed a ton of confidence on the offensive end this season. Defensively, Ingram plays with high energy as well as a high motor, where he can guard multiple positions. He can also get into the passing lanes, where he creates turnovers with his athleticism and length. His poise and leadership should allow him to be effective and a name worth noting as the rest of the season rolls on.

Deandre Harvey - The Rock - 2026: The 6-foot-4 shooting guard has been a vital presence this season for The Rock School, where his combination skillset of being a consistent scoring threat and an elite decision-maker on offense has vastly improved from last season to this season. On the defensive end, Harvey can make havoc in the passing lanes as well as being an above-average rebounder for his size. His length and ability to play with a high motor when it comes to guarding bigger opponents have also taken a huge improvement from last season to this season. Harvey is fresh off an offer from Cal-State Bakersfield but should hear more from mid-major programs before the season is finished.

Isaac Buckley - West Oaks Academy - 2026: The 6-foot-6 wing is known for his toughness when it comes to playing in the interior on the offensive end, but has expanded his game into being more of a consistent threat in the mid-range this season. Buckley has a ton of length in his game, where he can be effective on the defensive end as well, and he is scrappy as well as a high-level rebounder. His versatility has also spoken high volumes this season, where he could be a dangerous two-way threat at the next level.

Toby Lane -  Santa Fe Catholic - 2026:  The 5-foot-10 point guard plays with pace and confidence on the offensive end, where he can attack the basket finishing with either hand as well as being unafraid when it comes to absorbing contact. He can push the tempo, whether it’s in transition or turn his defensive game into offense, where he jumps the passing lanes or swipes steals, which lead to scores on the offensive end. Lane’s two-way playmaking abilities can change the momentum in a hurry for his team. With his combination of scoring and defensive mechanics, Lane could be an emerging factor to help lead the Hawks to a deep playoff run this season.

AJ Ambrose - Cardinal Gibbons - 2026: The 6-foot point guard is smart and crafty when the basketball is in his hands. His ability to change direction and speed has been an overall improvement in his game from his junior season to this season. On offense, he is confident when it comes to finishing at the front of the rim as well as stopping on a dime, connecting on mid-range jump shots, and can be a threat from the perimeter as well. On the defensive end, he is a true playmaker who can make havoc when guarding the ball as well as reacting in the passing lanes with his athleticism and length. He is a high-level rebounder for his size, where he can be effective on the glass against bigger players.
