OTR Hoops: Uncommitted Seniors in Florida (Part 1)
The second half of the high school basketball season is in full swing across the Sunshine State, and a ton of prospects have yet to decide where they will be committing to play college basketball next season. We take a deep dive into who remains uncommitted as we get down the home stretch of the regular season across the Sunshine State.

Nathan Earl - Oak Ridge - 2026: Earl is a composed point guard who is an elite-level decision maker when he has the basketball in his hands. He can find open teammates on the move with his strong passing ability, as well as create his own shot off the bounce. He can read defenses, whether it’s in transition or in the half-court offense, as he has been a steady offensive weapon this season for Oak Ridge. On the defensive end, Earl’s quickness and active hands have allowed him to stay in front of opposing guards as well as make plays happen in the passing lanes. He can create turnovers by forcing steals, which leads to scores on the offensive end. He will have an immediate impact at the next level. He’s had interest from Florida Gulf Coast, Jacksonville State, Tennessee Tech, and several others.
Caleb Holt - Prolific Prep - 2026: Holt is a physical two-way guard with NBA potential is known for his explosiveness when attacking downhill and his strong finishing around the rim on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he plays with a ton of length and athleticism, where he can get into the passing lanes as well as being explosive when it comes to guarding at the rim. His recruitment remains a hot topic as he is expressing heavy interest from Alabama, Arizona, Houston, Kentucky, and several others.
Jojo Philon - Montverde Academy - 2026: Philon plays with non-stop energy from the opening tip until the final buzzer on both ends of the floor. He is very active on the glass, keeping possessions alive with his active hands and length, where he limits the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. Defensively, he is active and versatile, where he can guard multiple positions, as well as jump the passing lanes and block shots at the front of the rim. Philon doesn’t need the basketball in his hands to make an impact on the game, where he stays consistent at staying disciplined and knowing when to get to his spots. Philon recently narrowed down his top schools to five, from which he will choose: Ohio State, South Florida, Xavier, UCLA, and UNLV.

Jaxon Richardson - Southeastern Prep - 2026: Richardson plays with a ton of length and athleticism on both ends of the floor, where his contagious energy on the offensive end feeds into his defensive ability. On the offensive end, he can get to his spots off the bounce as well as the catch, where he can finish above the rim as well as being a pure knock-down shooter in the mid-range. His body control and cutting abilities have vastly improved, and he has emerged as an above-average rebounder for his size. On the defensive end, he has utilized his athleticism to get into the passing lanes, where he averaged nearly two steals per game this season for Southeastern Prep. Richardson is considering Alabama, Creighton, Ole Miss, USC, and several others. He is the 20th -ranked prospect in the nation, according to multiple recruiting Services.
Kymani Weathers - The Villages Charter - 2026: Weathers is a long and mobile wing who can cover anywhere in the half-court. His athleticism and length make an immediate impact, whether it’s guarding the passing lanes or his ability to make havoc on the glass as an above-average rebounder. His size, strength, and high motor should attract a ton of interest from college coaches as the second half of the season rolls on.
