On the Radar

Over the past two years not much was known about Nate Grimes. Grimes, a 6-foot-8 forward did not play organized basketball until his freshman year in high school. The following season he was academically ineligible during his sophomore campaign. Before his junior season Grimes transferred to Desert Pines in Nevada where he was able to help the team reach the Division I-A state semifinals.

Grimes possesses an unbelievable amount of the athletic ability. He has great leaping ability and quickness that he in transition where he is able to finish above the rim.  Grimes constantly is in attack mode on the offensive end of the floor where he is able to score around basket and get to the rim from the high post. He is an active rebounder on both ends of the floor. On the defensive end he is able to block and alter shots due to his length and athletic abilities.

This four-star prospect has recently picked a number of offers from all over the country including Boise State, Boston College, Colorado State, Fresno State, Loyola Marymount, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Southern California, Utah State, and UTEP. Grimes will be playing on the summer circuit with the Las Vegas Knicks.
