Class of 2014 G Kiair Couch has been big for Berkmar (GA) this season

Kiair Couch (Lilburn, Ga.) – Berkmar HS – 2014
Although he might not have headlined the box score, Couch made the plays at the right moments to propel his team into the Elite 8 on Wednesday night. The 6-foot combo guard used his timely play-making abilities on the offensive end to create opportunities for his Patriot squad. However, it would be his steal near the end of regulation that might have been the biggest play of the night for the senior guard. Couch’s poise and leadership is one of the major reasons why he was voted 1st Team All-Region in Region 8-AAAAAA and earned an invite to the EBA Top 40 Spring Workout on March 9th.
Elijah Weems (Marietta, Ga.) – Walton HS – 2014
One of the trending names in the state of Georgia this post season has been the 6-4 lefty from Cobb County. While scoring a game high 21 points on Wednesday night, he nearly lifted his team into the Elite 8 in the process. Weems is a killer in the lane with his ability to score on virtually anyone. Few prospects have the combination of body control, strength and explosion that he possesses. He has put up these types of performances against the best in the state of Georgia this year. He put up 39 points in an overtime region championship game versus Wheeler High School. Although he is currently unsigned as a college prospect, expect that to change quickly in the upcoming months. He too has been invited to the EBA Top 40 Spring Workout on March 9th and the OntheRadarHoops.com Spring Showcase on March 22nd.
