Nike EYBL Boo Williams Evaluation: Isaiah Briscoe (Union, N.J.), New Jersey Playaz – 2015

Briscoe is one of those players who seem to play the game effortlessly, but produce big numbers. The 6-foot-3 point guard has a silky smooth skill set that allows him to act as a distributor or as a primary scorer. The New Jersey native can play on the ball or on the wing, because he will make plays regardless of where he is at on the floor. His jumper allows him to be a zone buster, but he is explosive enough to score in the lane. He is one of the rare players that you will find who can start a fast break with a rebound, lead the break as a decision maker or finish the break above the rim.

Briscoe’s offer list is off the charts. He has received heavy interest as in the form of an offer from coach Sean Miller and Arizona. Regional schools such as Connecticut, Rutgers, Seton Hall and Pittsburgh have all been in the mix with interest and offers. Louisville could be an interesting landing spot for Briscoe as coach Rick Pitino’s guard oriented style would be a natural fit. In the meantime, look for the 5-star prospect to a potential McDonald’s All-American candidate if he proceeds on this trajectory.
