PLAYERS FEATURED
This spring on the OTR Circuit, the 15U division delivered talent from top to bottom and made it tough to narrow down the MVP race. Several guys stepped up in big ways for their teams, carrying squads deep into the schedule with scoring, defense, leadership, and all-around play. Here are the players who earned strong consideration for Most Valuable Player in the 15U division.

Micah Joyner – Flo Elite – 2029
Joyner is a 6-foot guard who does it all for his team. He has been a top scorer and defender for Flo Elite all season long. Coach Marq West also pointed to him as the leader of the top team in the 15U Division of the OTR Circuit. When it comes to MVP consideration, Joyner is at the top of the list.

Jherel Gibson – Flo Elite – 2029
Gibson is a 6-foot-2 combo guard who can score it as well as any guard in this division. What sets him apart from other prospects on the circuit is his combination of size, athleticism, and ability to score from around the floor. He has a jumper that is consistent from beyond the arc. Gibson is also adept at finishing off the move in traffic. Flo Elite’s 21-3 record is certainly powered by the dominance that he has exerted this spring.

Devin Melton – Team Person – 2029
Melton has been a popular name to emerge from the Circuit this year. He is a favorite of scouts and coaches alike. His size and agility put him among some of the rarest physical talents in the Southeast. His name has been mentioned as one of the top defenders in the 15U Division while he is often considered one of the premier scorers as well. The 6-foot-9 forward/center produces double-double numbers each time he steps out, but there is a sense that he has even more potential to realize.

Liam McTeer – Atlanta Standard – 2029
Atlanta Standard is a new program that took the Circuit by storm this year. The 15U team checked in with a 20-5 record and has the deepest roster regardless of division this year. McTeer leads this group as the primary play creator and scorer. The 6-foot guard has earned praise for his speed in the open court as well as his shot making in the half-court offense. On a team full of collegiate prospects, McTeer is the clear leader.

Kingston Allen - Everything Earned Elite - 2029
Allen has a smooth game and can score at all three levels. The bigger guard hit tough mid-range jumpers off the bounce and got to his spots efficiently. He knows where he’s good and he’s hard to stop once he gets there. He is a key reason why Everything Earned Elite finished with an 18-6 record and is a threat to make a run in July.
Jeremiah Gordon – Sunshine Elite
Sunshine Elite is building a reputation of producing some of the best talent among independent clubs in the state of Florida. Next up in that pipeline of talent is Jeremiah Gordon. The 6-foot-6 wing led his squad in scoring this spring and has been mentioned as one of the most athletic prospects on the Circuit. Sunshine Elite checks in with a 14-3 record and looks poised to contend for a championship in July.

Chubb Skinner – Twelve Time – 2029
Skinner is another point guard who leads a deep and talented roster. The Georgia native is a talented playmaker with a handle that matches any other guard at this level. We were impressed with his play-finishing at the OTR Rocky Top Invitational back in May. Twelve Time is more than just Skinner’s playmaking, but it is his leadership that was key in this squad turning in a 15-5 record this spring.

KJ Reed – Georgia Stunners – 2029
Reed is emerging as one of the top wings in the state of Georgia. That reputation started gaining momentum this spring while he was leading the Stunners to a 16-2 record. No other team lost fewer games than the Stunners and that is likely due to the talent and production of Reed. He is a 6-foot-6 prospect who works best as an off-ball shot-hunter. His midrange is tight and he can elevate over most anyone to score at this level. Reed is tough to contain, and the Stunners will be a tough out in July.

Omari Alleyne – PNP – 2030
Alleyne checks in as the lone rising freshman on this list. His game is mature beyond his slotted grad year, however. The 6-foot-3 wing is a different type of player than his brother, Nahiem, who won an NCAA Championship at UConn in 2022. Omari likes to mix it up along the baseline and can will his way to a bucket through traffic. Omari has shown touch from the 3-point arc like his older brother, which is a positive sign for future versatility. PNP competed frequently on the 16U division but still turned in a 15-10 record for the Circuit. Alleyne was key every step of the way.

Miles Thornton – PNP – 2029
There is a case that Thornton has gone a bit under the radar for PNP this season. He has primarily worked as a physical defender who can body anyone around the court. His offensive game is not that far behind his defensive impact. He can turn steals into points very quickly. Keep Thornton on your radar this July.

Chase Pickens – Wood Elite – 2029
One of the premier playmakers in the 15U Division has been Pickens. He is quick and can slice through the lane. One of the things that makes Pickens such a tough cover for defenders is his ability to slash with either hand. Naturally a lefty, he seems just as comfortable finishing with his right around the bucket. Add in his range and he is a complete backcourt playmaker.
