The spring events from the OTR Circuit have concluded, which gives our staff an opportunity to reflect upon the best we evaluated. Notes were taken, stories written, and now we compile the lists of those who made the biggest impact this spring. We asked OTR scouts as well as the coaches themselves their opinions. We will be rolling out our superlatives weekly over the course of the month of June for each of the three age groups on the OTR Circuit.
Our first installment looks at the best scorers from the 17U Circuit. There was not a shortage of names supplied. If we missed one, let us know. The story of the 2026 Circuit season has not concluded yet.

At the Top
Keelan Day of the Griffin Grasshoppers reported a 25 points per game average this spring. OTR Scout, Cameron Ross, called him a ‘pure scorer from all three levels.’ The 6-foot-4 guard has earned his way to the top of this list.
Xion Evans had a huge month of May averaging 24 points with All Georgia Elite. He was also invited and competed at the Pangos All-American Camp two weeks ago. He was named to the Best of the Best All-Star game while there. Evans should be one of the top Circuit names come this July.
Kevin Rogers lit the circuit on fire early this year averaging more than 20 points per game over the course of the first month while leading the Atlanta Kings to a perfect 10-0 start. He did not let up. Joel Hillsman reported that he averaged better than 18 points per game during the Sweet Sixteen last month while also saying, “He scores in a variety of ways and is quick off the dribble to score in the paint. He is effective from the perimeter and routinely knocked in timely jumpers.”
Donovan Swain may not have the gaudiest numbers in comparison to other players on the circuit. However, his effectiveness is undeniable. He earned Player of the Month recognition for the month of March. The term 3-level-scorer gets thrown around a lot, but Swain will routinely score buckets from all over the court in each game we evaluate. Team Gold Coast is one of the favorites heading into July and Swain is the scoring engine that makes them run.
Proven
Ayaan Bhadouria of PSB Tampa averaged 17 points this spring. The 6-foot-5 wing proved he can shoot it from all over the court.
Sunshine Elite earned Program of the Month honors for the month of May. Their 17U is as hot as any team right now. Point guard Whitfield Bynoe continues to be the straw that stirs the drink.
Essien Lockleer has been consistently one of the top scorers on the circuit this year. He averaged more than 20 points per contest this spring with Only1Elite. He exploded for 42 points at the Rocky Top Invitational. He recently earned standout recognition at the OTR X SHR Summer Tip-Off. Read what Josh Tec had to say HERE.
Atlanta Panthers guard Jourden Smoak consistently turns in high score reports at every event he competes at. Cameron Ross wrote this about Smoak in May, “Plays with a high motor on both ends. Gets to the basket relentlessly and finishes well at the basket with both hands.”
Fortune Hicks is another point guard who can put up points in a hurry. He is the energizing factor for Gold Elite (Highlights via @SHReport below).
Hoop Grind has been a solid program from Florida all season long. Guard Pether Castro has led the way. @RoseySportsUSA wrote this on him from April, “2027 G Pether Castro is a dynamic lead guard. He’s a great passer, has a knack for scoring and always getting his hands on 50/50 balls.”
Warriors Life Elite guard Kasyn Chase is fun to watch. He brings energy to the defensive side of the ball, but he can score the ball in a hurry as well. His quickness and athleticism might catch your eye, but his shooting will win the game.
Elite Playmakers have one of the best backcourt duos on the circuit in Jason Smith and Noah Jones. Each player has earned attention throughout the spring from their shot making and ability to score at the rim. Each player had standout performances over the Memorial Day weekend earning recognition along the way.
Sewer South has one of the most complete rosters on the circuit. This allows Landon Grundy to fit perfectly within their team concept. The 6-foot-4 combo guard was outstanding in Gatlinburg last month. Watch him this month with Hillgrove High School as they compete during the high school live period events.
Team EYA is developing star guards in Braylon Robinson and Quentin Clopton this spring. Robinson proved to be a solid midrange and perimeter shooter who can also create in late shot clock moments. While Clopton gets buckets in transition and in perimeter isolation situations, because of his slick handling.
Team Person guard Lorenzo McCorvey has elevated his game this spring. He went from being a wing and a secondary handler to being the primary play creator for one of the top teams on the circuit. @TriHoopsNet wrote this over the Memorial Day weekend, “6’6 2027 Lorenzo McCorvey (Team Person OTR) is building a real case as one of the top players on the OTR Circuit. A long, fluid wing with high-level instincts, McCorvey impacts the game without forcing action.”
Do not Overlook
Jayden Gunby earned player of the month honors with his outstanding play with the Charlotte Aces. He scores as well as any player in the paint.
Jarvis Williams is one of the few 2028 prospects on this list. The Warner Robins All-Stars get Williams a lot of shots and he connects efficiently. His 3-point shooting is one of the best on the circuit.
Thunder Select’s Quavion Mobley impacts the game each time he suits up. He is a versatile wing who can finish in transition while also scoring in the half-court offense.
The Griffin Grasshoppers are loaded with talented guards. Quadarious Clemons reported an 18 points per game average this spring. He and Keelan Day make up an elite backcourt duo on the OTR Circuit.
Daniel Collins of the Georgia Fire has the case to be one of the most overlooked prospects this spring. He has legitimate scoring ability off the bounce in traffic while also being able to keep the defense honest with the jumper (Highlights below).
Georgia Legacy guard Hampton Hill has come alive as of late. Many may overlook him because of his size, but his numbers do not lie. He plays with heart and executes with skill.
The Atlanta Standard exploded onto the grassroots scene this spring. Their 17U team has been competitive even though much of their roster is underclassmen. Class of 2028 guard Carter King has been the sparkplug for this offense. Notably, he is not a high-volume shooter. He prioritizes making the right play at the right time, but he can find a bucket when his team needs it.
The addition of 6-foot-3 guard Qua Watson will make Only1Elite a tough out this July. He averaged 18 points per game in the second half of circuit play. Ross Van De Griek took note of his play at the Sweet Sixteen and wrote this, "On the offensive end, he did most of his work playing off the ball where he got to his spots finishing at the rim, playing with confidence in the mid-range, and expanding his game to being a perennial threat on the perimeter."
G-Force Ryders guard Grant Cook is one of those players you enjoy watching. He knocks down the 3-pointer, he gets to the rim to finish. There is not a lot of flash to his game, but he plays it the right way. Ross Van De Griek wrote this in March, “Cook is a lead guard who consistently finished around the rim as well as knocking down several 3-pointers off the catch as well as the bounce. His unselfishness and playmaking for his teammates was what separated himself in this game."
Notable
LeSon Nelson – 12ppg, Griffin Grasshoppers
Jackson Ushery – Team EYA, 6-3 wing, matchup nightmare, (14ppg at Sweet Sixteen)
Charles Lewis – Nicknamed “Mr. Double-Double” Griffin Grasshoppers
Dennis Pierre – Beach Boys Elite, noted standout from the Sweet Sixteen
Antonio Jackson – North Point Youth
