JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The 2026 Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) boys’ and girls’ basketball state championships resumed this week, with the larger classifications taking the floor. Here is who stood out on Day 6:

Aiden Bolden - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Bolden showed great maturity and poise with his decision-making, whether it was shooting from the mid-range or finishing at the front of the rim. The 6-foot-7 junior wing was perfect from the field, where he shot 11-for-11 from two-point range and went 3-of-5 from the free-throw line in the wire-to-wire win over The Villages. His leadership and two-way playmaking set the tone for the Eagles, helping lead them to back-to-back state championships.

Tyler Caouette - Jesuit (Tampa) - 2026

Caouette brought his smooth jump shot and was in full-attack mode from the opening tip despite the semifinal loss to Fleming Island. The 6-foot-4 senior guard was crafty off the bounce as well as the catch when it came to finishing around the rim, as well as getting to his spots, knocking down shots from the perimeter. His defensive mechanics continue to stand out, as he jumps passing lanes, causing steals that lead to scores on the opposite end. Caouette’s two-way game speaks high volumes where he could make an immediate impact at the next level, whether it is at the JUCO or D2 level.

Carson Crawford - Fleming Island - 2027

Crawford helped lead his squad to the school’s first-ever state championship game appearance. He recorded a near double-double, finishing with 20 points and 9 rebounds in the near wire-to-wire win over Jesuit. The 6-foot-7 junior wing continues to put up efficient numbers for his side, where he doesn’t need to score at an alarming rate for him to have success. Crawford used his big frame and length to his advantage, where he finished at the rim as well as being able to draw contact, which got him to the free-throw line on several occasions.

Zacuras Dawson - Pembroke Pines Charter - 2027

The 6-foot junior guard found ways to score on multiple levels in the near wire-to-wire win over Lecanto. He can be effective when it comes to attacking the basket or stopping on a dime, where he can shoot from the perimeter. On the defensive end, he was a pest when it came to applying pressure on the opposition’s best player, where he was a lockdown defender throughout the game. Dawson showed an all-around game on both ends of the floor, where he could be a sleeper prospect as we wind down the high school season and get into the Grassroots season. He is a college-ready prospect who plays with a high IQ and is arguably one of the top two-way guards in the junior class across the state.

Cayden Daughtry - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale) - 2027

Daughtry was effective when it came to his efficient shooting display, particularly from behind the arc. He showed great confidence and poise, finishing with a game-high 30 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field and 5-of-8 from behind the arc. He was also playmaking for his

teammates, where he was throwing lobs at the front of the rim, as well as making unselfish reads. He finished with seven assists and just one turnover on the night, where his high IQ continues to be a focal point as his junior season is nearing an end. At 6-foot-1, Daughtry showed a great skill set between his elite on-the-ball defending and playmaking on the offensive end.

Jalil Hill - Fleming Island - 2029

Hill showed a ton of poise and patience when it came to finishing at the front of the rim in the wire-to-wire win over Jesuit. He brought his smooth jump shot along with his athleticism when he converted on multiple dunks in transition. His soft touch around the rim on the defensive end, where his length continued to be a disruptor, as he limited the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. Hill finished with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the win. Hill’s ceiling is just at the beginning, as he could be one of the real-deal prospects not just in the state for the 2029 class but arguably could get some national attention as well.

Ryan Turner - Fleming Island - 2026

Turner is quietly one of the more underrated guards in the 2026 class. During the 5A semifinal win over Jesuit, the 6-foot-5 senior poured in 19 points on an efficient 5-of-8 from the field, 4-of-5 from 3-point range, and got to the free-throw line, knocking down five of his six free-throw attempts. He played with a strong IQ and knew where his teammates were, as well as playing under control, where he attacked the basket and dished out to the open shooters. On defense, he was quick with his feet and was a disruptor when it came to forcing the opposition into making a tough pass. Turner has a high ceiling as we get towards the late part of his senior season, where he could make an immediate impact at the collegiate level.

Anthony Walcott - Pembroke Pines Charter - 2027

Walcott brought a great feel and understanding of the game early and often for his side. He proved on the offensive end that he can score in a variety of ways, whether it was his smooth pull-up jumper in the mid-range or shooting spot-up shots from the perimeter in the win over Lecanto. He was also excelling at running the floor in transition, where he got to his spots, finishing off the catch at a high rate. On the defensive end, Walcott brought toughness and energy, whether it was as a rim protector or disrupting the passing lanes with his long reach. He is a proven winner and could help his side bring home another state championship this season.
