CARTERSVILLE, Ga. — The final Live Period of the season is officially underway, with 160+ teams across three age groups ranging from 15U to 17U. Here are eight (8) prospects who stood out on the Opening Day of the event:

Cejay McKnight - HoopGrind OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-2 rising senior point guard made his presence felt throughout the game against TWU Elite. He showcased his ability where he was able to attack the basket as well as being a floor spacer, knocking down three 3-pointers to help provide the comeback win, as his team trailed by double digits in the second half. The 6-foot-2 rising senior point guard displayed great energy on the defensive end of the floor as well, where he applied consistent on-the-ball pressure, using active hands and being aggressive in the passing lanes. His play on both ends of the floor continues to be a focal point in his overall game, where he could carry a load of momentum heading into his senior season.

Remington Akins - The Warm Up Elite OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-3 rising senior wing showcased his length and athletic ability, making strong reads in the passing lanes as well as being a solid rim protector on the defensive end. On the offensive end, he was effective when it came to running transition offense, operating off the dribble, and getting to his spots, where he scored on all three levels both off the catch and bounce. Overall, he possessed a smooth skill set where he brought a strong finishing ability around the rim, knocking down shots in the mid-range with confidence, and playmaking for his teammates.

Jadus Sorhaindo - XPC Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-8 rising senior power forward did a great job when it came to impacting the game as an interior presence on both ends of the floor, whether it was finishing possessions by snatching down timely rebounds, limiting the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities, or being active on the perimeter where he was guarding the passing lanes. On the offensive end, he was a slasher and a rim-runner when it came to transition scoring opportunities, finding multiple ways to make an impact. He was able to get straight-line drives, finishing around the basket and earning trips to the free-throw line on numerous occasions. He also competed on the offensive end with his ability to operate on the perimeter as he knocked down a pair of 3-pointers in the win over Team S.M.A.S.H. Overall, Sorhaindo’s performance stood out in that he was impacting the paint, excelling in transition, and using his length to his advantage.

Kade Manley - XPC Elite - 2027

The 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard controlled the offense, whether it was as the primary ballhandler or the ability to get to his spots where he scored on all three levels. He created separation with his ability to force the defense into making a split-second decision as he scored off the catch and bounce at a high level. In the win over Team S.M.A.S.H, Manley finished with a game-high 24 points, knocking down a team-high four 3-pointers. His effective decision-making stood out, as he was able to make plays both on and off the ball on the offensive end. On the defensive end, he created plays with his energy and made it difficult for opposing guards to get comfortable looks to score. Overall, his ability to make an impact and contribute on both ends of the floor stood out on the first day of the event.

Donovan Swain - Team Gold Coast OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-3 rising senior combo guard made smart decisions showing when to initiate the offense and when to be a primary scorer on the offensive end. He also knew when to force the defense to extend out onto the perimeter with his timely shot selection as well as providing the ability to attack the basket, where he was unafraid when it came to finishing through contact. He has become more confident and comfortable when it comes to taking mid-range jump shots as well as knocking down a couple of 3-pointers in the win over Team S.M.A.S.H. Overall, his ability to produce at a high level this summer has spoken volumes about his true game and is carrying a ton of momentum as he gears up for his senior season.

Rowan Woodrich - Devin Butts Elite Culpepper OTR - 2027

The 6-foot-8 rising senior power forward is skilled and has the potential to be a stretch-four, where he can score both inside and outside at a high level on the offensive end. He has expanded his overall confidence, so he can be efficient both off the catch and dribble, so he doesn’t need to be the primary focal point for his team to have success. In the game against Promise Elite, Woodrich went off for a game-high 20 points and knocked down 4-of-5 from behind the three-point line. On the defensive end, Woodrich used his length and athleticism to his advantage, where he contested shots, was active in the passing lanes, and changed possessions with his ability to force turnovers, leading to scores on the opposite end. Overall, Woodrich is one of the sleeper prospects in the upcoming senior class.

Whitfield Bynoe - Sunshine Elite 17U - 2027

The 5-foot-11 rising senior point guard is arguably one of the favorites to receive the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the OTR Circuit this season. Bynoe is a high-IQ player who doesn’t get rattled when it comes to forcing a bad shot or making a mistake on the offensive end. He is truly patient when he has the basketball in his hands, as he can impact the game whether it’s shooting from the three-point line or finishing at the front of the rim at the point of attack. In a pair of wins on Thursday, Bynoe picked up back-to-back outings where he scored 20 points against Triangle Offense Elite and Palm Beach Prep. On the defensive end, he makes plays happen with his speed, athleticism, and awareness, where he can get deflections leading to steals and scores on the opposite end. Bynoe’s stock continues to rise as he could be a potential steal for any college coach recruiting him, as he carries heavy momentum going into his senior season.

Bryce Hoffert - Sunshine Elite 17U - 2027

The 6-foot-6 rising senior guard delivered a productive performance against Triangle Offense, where he finished with a team-high 18 points (14 in the second half). He used his length and athleticism to his advantage when it came to finishing around the rim as well as showcasing his handle when it came to scoring in the mid-range. He also did all the gritty work, where he kept possessions alive with his timely rebounding and making extra passes to his teammates. On defense, he was playing the passing lanes, as well as generating steals and deflections, which led to transition-scoring opportunities for his teammates at the other end. Overall, his two-way playmaking abilities helped his team pick up a pair of wins on the Opening Day of the event. He has all the tools to become a complete college player, and he has picked up nearly a dozen offers over the last month or so.
