OTR Hoops: Season in Review (Florida Edition) - 2026’s in Focus Part 2

We have reached the end of the 2025-2026 regular season in high school basketball across the Sunshine State. I was able to attend and watch some intriguing games this season, as well as review film on players outside of my coverage area.

Today, we will focus on our senior class, as many players remain unsigned or uncommitted about where they will play their collegiate basketball careers.

Tucker Fox - Victory Christian Academy

Fox is a flashy guard who can get to his spots on the offensive end, as the primary ball-handler or with his efforts off the ball. He is a perennial threat when it comes to scoring from behind the arc, whether it is off the catch or bounce. The 5-foot-10 shooting guard is also a reliable defender when it comes to guarding on and off the ball. With Fox connecting on a career-high in three-pointers made, his deep-shooting threat could set up another possible deep playoff run, where the Storm reached their first state championship game appearance last season.

Toby Lane - Santa Fe Catholic

Lane finds ways to make an immediate impact on both ends of the floor. Despite his size, he is a true bulldog that plays with hustle and energy, where he makes havoc in the passing lanes as well as finding teammates off the bounce on the offensive end. He is a high-IQ player who can also score on all three levels while being unafraid when it comes to playing through contact. Lane is a proven winner whose two-way playmaking could help set up a possible deep playoff run for the second consecutive season.

Tyler McKnight - New Smyrna Beach

McKnight has a combination skillset of shot-making and creativity from the guard position on the offensive end. He has a high release when it comes to pulling up from behind the arc, where he shot 38% from this season for the Barracudas. His high basketball IQ from the lead guard position is efficient, where he also averaged three assists per game this season. McKnight is a high-level rebounder for his size and doesn’t allow many second-chance scoring opportunities.

Josh Harris - Riverview (Sarasota)

Harris put up some big numbers this season, where he led his team in points, assists, steals, and field goal percentage. He is lethal when it comes to his three-point shooting on the offensive end, making nearly three 3-pointers per game. His efforts on the defensive end continue to improve with his versatility, length, and athleticism. College coaches should make a call to Harris, as he could have an immediate impact at the next level, whether it’s playing the lead guard position or playing off the ball next season.

Justus Dylan-Herbert - Cardinal Gibbons

Dylan-Herbert is a long and rangy guard who can also make an impact playing on the wings on the offensive end. He has a smooth shooting stroke when it comes to scoring from the mid-range as well as from behind the arc. His efforts on the defensive side are what separate him from other wings in the class, as he can guard positions 1 through 4, utilizing his length and athleticism. He could draw interest from several Division I schools with his combination skillset, including his three-level scoring prowess as well as his playmaking on the defensive end. He has an offer from Bethune-Cookman and adds interest from schools such as Cornell, Georgia Southern, Navy, South Florida, and several others.

Lloyd “Boosie” Swan - True North Classical Academy

The 5-foot-10 point guard plays with heart and hustle on both ends of the floor. While his size doesn’t draw a ton of attention to his game, he does a lot of dirty work, where he wins the 50/50 possession, creating for his teammates with the ability to playmake off the bounce. On the

offensive end, he has a smooth jump shot that he can get off against multiple defenders off the catch as well as the bounce. On the defensive end, he stays consistent with his footspeed and ability to jump the passing lanes. Swan is a two-way player that college coaches are going to want to jump on as we head into the spring.

Sam Quebedeaux - Pensacola Catholic

The 6-foot-1 point guard has a lethal shooting touch, where he forces the defenders to always be aware of him in the open court. He is also crafty when it comes to attacking the front of the rim and is unafraid when it comes to scoring through contact. His court vision is elite, where he finds teammates on the move and is a proven winner. He is a true point guard who has great court vision and brings a high motor every time he steps onto the floor.

Kyler Theophile - Coral Glades

Theophile is a two-way guard who makes an impact on the boards as well as utilizes his athleticism on the offensive end. He is a menace when it comes to playmaking off the ball, where he finishes around the rim efficiently, as well as an occasional pull-up jump shot from the mid-range and behind the arc. He is a near double-double threat anytime he steps onto the floor, where he averaged 13.6 points and 8.0 rebounds per game this season. Theophile is signed to play collegiate basketball at Kennesaw State next season.

Kymani Weathers - The Villages Charter

Weathers brings size, length, and strength to the open court, where he can impact the game on both ends of the floor. On the offensive end, he uses great body control to finish through contact and create space for his teammates. He is also an excellent rim-runner in transition and in offense, where his high-IQ and understanding of positioning can frustrate the defense. On the defensive side, he is an excellent rebounder and adds physical presence, limiting the opposition’s second-chance scoring opportunities.
