MORE FROM OTR

We have reached the end of the 2025-2026 regular season in high school basketball across the Sunshine State. I was able to get out and see some intriguing games this season, as well as watch film on players outside of my coverage area.

Today, we will focus on our junior class, as many players on this list are poised to have breakout spring and summer seasons on the Grassroots circuit.

Martay Barnes - Academy of Central Florida

Barnes plays with a ton of confidence, where he can knock down shots from the perimeter as well as in the mid-range on the offensive end. At the same time, he can create opportunities where he can score at the rim in attack mode. On the defensive end, he is unpredictable, whether it’s guarding on the ball or showing a ton of activity in the passing lanes. As the Grassroots season approaches, Barnes is poised to have a huge jump in his recruitment.

Aaron Britt Jr - The Villages Charter

Britt is a Top-75-ranked player in the country, where he can impact the game in a variety of ways on both ends of the floor. On offense, he is able to create for his teammates while playing off the ball as well as getting to his spots as the primary ball-handler. He has grown to become more confident when it comes to shooting from the perimeter, as well as finishing at the front of the rim. On the defensive end, he applies constant on-the-ball pressure, staying in front of opposing guards, and playing with a ton of effort in the passing lanes. His all-around skillset could open the possibility of a huge summer season for Britt.

Carson Crawford - Fleming Island

The 6-foot-7 wing has a huge upside heading into the Grassroots season, where he gives consistent effort and energy on the defensive end of the floor. His length and versatility allow him to guard at the rim as well as out on the perimeter. On the offensive end, he does a great job when it comes to running the floor in transition and finishing at the front of the rim. He is an active rebounder on both ends of the floor, where he can battle on the glass with anybody. His high motor is impeccable as well, where he averaged over 25 minutes per game for Fleming Island during the regular season.

Cayden Daughtry - Calvary Christian Academy (Fort Lauderdale)

Daughtry shows a full arsenal skillset on the offensive end, where he can space the floor and can make defenders pay with the ability to shoot from well behind the three-point arc. He can also use his burst of speed to finish around the rim while absorbing contact. Defensively, he plays with a ton of purpose and versatility, where he is often at times guarding multiple positions. He can force turnovers using his combination skillset of speed and athleticism when guarding the ball as well. His all-around skillset on both ends of the floor could open the doors for a big burst in his recruitment this summer.

O’Neal Delancy - Montverde Academy

Delancy is very effective on the offensive end, whether it’s creating scoring opportunities from the mid-range or behind the arc. He is also at his best when it comes to scoring at the point of attack, where he uses great body control and finishing at the front of the rim. His consistent effort on the defensive end is what separates him from other combo guards in his class. His combination skillset of three-level scoring, high-level defending, and the ability to impact the game in multiple ways can provide a ton of attention from college coaches on Delancy.

Myles Fuentes - Riviera Prep

The 6-foot-2 shooting guard is very effective in the open court when it comes to his decision-making or the ability to score when he has the basketball in his hands. His high-IQ on the offensive end is what separates him from the secondary guard position, where he can often at times run the lead guard position. On the defensive end, Fuentes plays with a high motor and consistent energy when pursuing the passing lanes. He can also force turnovers when guarding the ball as he gets swipes, which lead to scores on the opposite end of the floor. His two-way playmaking could open some eyes this upcoming Grassroots season.

Henry Robinson Jr - Pine Ridge

Robinson brings non-stop energy and production on the offensive end, where he can spread the floor as well as finish above the rim. His ability to finish through traffic while drawing contact at a high level is what separates him from most wings in the class. On the defensive end, he stays active around the rim, whether it’s his ability to block shots or limit the opposition from getting second-chance scoring opportunities. With his combination skillset of contesting shots, protecting the rim, and scoring on all three levels, Robinson Jr. will be a name to keep an eye on this upcoming Grassroots season.
