TAMPA, Fla. — The inaugural Tampa Takeover is the next stop on the On The Radar Hoops Circuit season. Nearly 50 teams ranging from five different age groups take the stage this weekend at the prestigious Skills Center. Here is who stood out on Saturday:

Jezreel Ferrer - Progression Daily - 2029

The 5-foot-9 point guard displayed great court vision on the offensive end, whether it was on the attack and kicking out to open shooters or showcasing his ability to be a true three-level scorer on the offensive end. On defense, he was a solid rim protector for his size, as well as showcasing his activity in the passing lanes.

Anthony Rodriguez - G-Force Ryders OTR - 2027

The 6-foot combo guard showed consistency when it came to getting to his spots on the offensive end, whether it was as the primary ball-handler or the ability to play off the ball. He positioned himself to finish around the rim, where he was unafraid when it came to absorbing contact and getting to the free-throw line on several occasions. On the defensive end, he snatched down timely rebounds around the rim, as well as displaying elite footwork when guarding out on the perimeter.

Anton Oskarsson - Florida Blue Chips - 2029

Oskarsson is the younger brother of recent Florida Tech commit Robert Oskarsson, where he showed more than just a three-level scoring prowess on the offensive end. He showed flashes of unselfishness, where he made the right reads to his teammates in transition as well as in the half-court. On the defensive end, Oskarsson showed great energy that fed off his teammates by playing in the passing lanes, as well as solidifying himself as a rim protector. With more growth and confidence in his two-way game, Oskarsson has the chance to make a lot of noise as he heads into his sophomore season.

Arinze Ikwueme - Florida Blue Chips - 2029

The 6-foot-3 small forward is a long-armed prospect who can play multiple positions on both ends of the floor as well as carry a high ceiling when he steps onto the court. Ikwueme is a high-volume prospect on the defensive end, as well as bringing intensity on the glass, where he was consistently challenging shots around the rim and finishing each defensive position by snatching timely rebounds. Ikwueme is a name that is going to be well-known over the course of the next three years.

Jeremiah Reeder - Nassau Ballerz - 2029

The 5-foot-9 shooting guard got out early and often when it came to the transition game, where he finished effectively around the basket, whether it was on the attack or on kick-ahead passes. He was also active on the defensive end when it came to applying pressure in the passing lanes. He was also able to guard multiple positions on the defensive end, as well as being a solid playmaker. His unique blend of athleticism, quickness, and versatility could make Reeder a well-known prospect heading into his sophomore season.

Bryce Turner - Nassau Ballerz - 2029

The 6-foot-1 small forward turned in a well-rounded performance for Nassau Ballerz where he impacted the game with his strength, physicality, and versatility on both ends of the floor. He consistently applied pressure on the defensive end, keeping the offense honest in a wire-to-wire win. On the offensive end, he used great body control when playing around the rim and making his presence felt around the basket, securing rebounds on put-back attempts as well as finishing around the rim off two feet. He played with a competitive edge throughout the game, where he didn’t take possessions off as his toughness and versatility continue to speak high volumes. Turner continues to make a consistent impact night in and night out every time he steps onto the floor.

Mykel Benson Jr - Jayhawks United 14U - 2030

Standing at 6-foot-3 entering his freshman season, Benson brings an all-around skillset where he brings good size, whether it’s his ability to finish around the rim or stretch the floor in knocking down shots in the mid-range on the offensive end. With his great length and court vision, Benson continues to impact the game at a high level for his age. In transition, Benson was a consistent threat with his elite ball-handling, where he got to the rim on several occasions, as well as making strong passes to teammates. He made his presence felt on the defensive end as well, where he was able to guard all five positions, play with a great feel, and continues to scratch the surface as one of the top-ranked eighth graders in the state of Florida.

James Williams - River City Hoops - 2030

Williams has already reached 6-foot-8 before he entered his freshman year of high school, bringing great size and making his presence felt around the rim playing in his first tournament with River City Hoops. On the offensive end, he showed great hands and elite footwork when it came to finishing in the paint, whether it’s off the catch or bounce. On the defensive end, Williams impacted the game with his length, where he rebounded the ball, altered shots, as well as contesting shots across all three scoring levels. His immediate impact is what stood out to me as he becomes a name coaches and scouts are going to want to know before he enters his freshman year of high school.
