Sexton Signs with Alabama
By: @JLHemingwayPSB
Collin Sexton of Pebblebrook HS (GA) / Southern Stampede took a meteoric rise onto the national scene as the nation’s top scoring guard. Today he signs with the University of Alabama giving head coach Avery Johnson the nation’s premier scorer in the class of 2017. Sexton went from un-ranked (by most services) to be a certified top 10 player nationally. We have documented Sexton’s development and rise to the top over the past few years. Read the articles below.

Sexton’s Evaluation
Sexton completed an incredible 2016 campaign where he led the EYBL circuit in scoring and then was named MVP of the FIBA U17 team this summer. Here is Brandon Clay’s latest evaluation of Sexton from Session IV of the EYBL circuit.
Sexton’s rise to the elite of the 2017 class has been nothing short of remarkable. He scores with the best in high school basketball today. Sitting at 31.7 points per EYBL game, he’s leading the league by almost 10 points per an outing. He’s also rebounding from his position snagging 5.6 rebounds per as well. Sexton reminds me of James Harden in his ability to get fouled and get to the free throw line as a result. Once he’s there, Sexton is shooting 85 percent.

Alabama’s 2017 Class
The 6-foot-2 guard joins top in-state recruit, John Petty, who also gave his commitment to the Crimson Tide today. These two 5-star guards are poised to wreck havoc upon the SEC. They join in-state 4-star forwards Alex Reese and Herb Jones. 6-10 center Galin Smith of Clinton, Mississippi, a 4-star prospect per #OTRHoopsReport, rounds out the class as well.
