MARIETTA, Ga. — The Southern Hoops Report, On The Radar duo paired up again for its annual fall showcases. 

High school teams, top prospects, media, college coaches gathered in Marietta for an afternoon of quality matchups. Here’s who stood out from the action on Sunday. 

Donovin Martin - Alexander - 2028

If Sunday was a true indication, Martin is poised to have a breakout season. He was Alexander’s most consistent playmaker with the ball in his hands. When Martin got momentum going downhill, he was difficult to stop from getting to the rim. He can play through contact via good athleticism and physicality. Of course, seeing the floor for Alexander means guarding, and Martin was active and engaged on that side of the ball. 

Joshua Schulze - Woodstock - 2027 

Schulze made a two-way impact for Woodstock on Sunday. He was productive around the basket and provided a steady paint presence. He shined defensively with multiple blocks and altered shots. Schulze’s timing and ability to erase shots without fouling should excite college coaches. Offensively, he was a consistent finisher and secured second chances for the Wolverines. 

Brandon Pemberton - Parkview - 2027

Pemberton was one of the most impressive prospects of last fall, and that started at this event. A year later, he looked great again. His ability to keep defenders off balance in transition led to significant production, but he was able to create in the halfcourt as well. Pemberton uses size and skill to punish defenses. He’s a tremendous finisher at the rim, and when his 3-point shot is falling, he’s an even bigger problem. Pemberton used his length to get steals and deflections on defense too. He recently took a visit to Kennesaw State. 

Max Cook - Kell - 2027

Cook had bright flashes last season as a junior for the Longhorns. He can take over games with his three-level scoring. He’s a good athlete who can get it going from three. His scoring arsenal was on display on Sunday morning. He was assertive while not trying to do too much. Paired with Anthony Moreno in the backcourt, Cook will help form a fun guard duo to follow at Kell. 

Ace Graham - Woodstock - 2027

I can’t say that I was all too familiar with Graham before Sunday. It’s nice to see a player with no preconceived opinions though. It let Graham’s play speak for itself. He has plenty of pop to his game. A good athlete, Graham has solid burst and got off the ground for a few dunks. He showed shotmaking and on-ball creation that’ll make him a good pair with Jahmar Maurice in the Wolverines’ backcourt.
