LAWRENCEVILLE, Georgia – On the Radar Hoops hosted the Thanksgiving Showcase last week at Central Gwinnett High School. Seven games featured fourteen teams from around the state of Georgia. This provided a great early season tune-up for teams before region play begins this month. Here is a list of players who delivered memorable performances.

Donaven Thomas – Grayson High School – 2026

Thomas emerged as a difference maker for the Rams. His name has been mentioned at times on the OTR Circuit and the SHR Jamboree. However, on this night many recognized that Thomas will play a prominent role for coach Geoffrey Pierce’s squad this season. He finished with 15 points by hitting several jumpers in the flow of the offense. The highlight of the night was when he threw a pass off the back board to teammate MJ Curry for the dunk of the night.

Chase Lumpkin – McEachern High School – 2027

Lumpkin solidified his reputation as one of the premier shooters in the state of Georgia. He finished with 30 points in a runaway win over Woodward Academy. His night included seven 3-pointers. Lumpkin is still lanky with a youthful looking face. Lumpkin is already earning national recruiting attention as he will visit Kentucky unofficially this week.

Emmanuel Alofe - McEachern High School – 2027

Alofe provided the interior presence to complement Lumpkin’s shooting theatrics. He is a 6-foot-7 forward who brings his hard hat to the court nightly. He gets a lot of mileage off second-chance points and by making hustle plays across the court. He rattled the rafters a few times with two-handed dunks on Wednesday evening. Alofe has next level upside given his lateral quickness and defensive versatility.

Jayden Crawford – Alexander High School – 2026

Crawford captained a win over highly touted Cedar Grove. He delivered a 29-point effort with efficiency. His 3-point jumper continues to be the staple of his game. He is polishing his pull-up jumper as a nice counter when defenders run him off the arc. The Georgia Southern signee’s confidence is at an all-time high, which will be key for coach Jason Slate and the Cougars as they try to engineer one more run at a state title.

Landon Grundy – Hillgrove High School – 2027

Grundy is an emerging prospect for the Hawks. He has an interesting blend of length and craftiness, which is hard for defenders to prepare for. He finished with a game high 16 points in a win over Decatur. He finished several buckets in traffic using his long arms to score over and around defenders. With junior forward Asa Montgomery sidelined in this game, Grundy stepped up to fill the void. These are positive signs for coach Greg Moultrie as he builds a roster that is balanced with production.

Micah McMorris – Peachtree Ridge High School – 2026

McMorris ought to be on college coaches’ radar coming out of this event. He is a unique player given his skill set and size. He can handle the ball while using his size to scan the floor to make the best play possible. He led all scorers with 21 points in a win for the Lions over Southwest-Macon. He brings ball handling, leadership, and scoring ability to the floor. Coach Jordan Griffin’s squad looks poised to make some noise in Region 7 in Class 6A.

Chase Dupree – Southwest-Macon High School – 2026

Dupree put up 32 points, which was the highest scoring total of the day. After watching him last week, he continues to be one of the top unsigned seniors in the state. The 6-foot-3 combo guard is a terrific athlete. His balance, explosiveness, and court awareness are intangibles that often get overlooked. With Dupree in the backcourt, expect the Patriots to make a run in the postseason.

Grant Robich – North Cobb Christian School – 2027

Robich is a prospect that we have watched grow up at OTR events. We first saw him as a middle school prospect full of energy and enthusiasm. Those qualities have not gone away. And he has added experience and leadership to his bag of skills. Coach Greg Matta leans on the junior to run his offense and keep the team on the game plan. Yet Robich is more than a game manager at the point. He can create plays when the shot clock winds down. He scored a team high 23 points in a win over Dacula on this day. Expect to hear Robich’s name more this season as the Eagles are contenders in Class 2A.
